Greece coach Ilias Zouros, announced today (6 June) the 14 players, that will participate in the pre-Olympic tournament in Venezouela, 2-8 July and hopefully in the Olympic games in London, if the Greek team will be able to be there. Two great comebacks and two great loses are the basic facts so far, for the National Team.
Vassilis Spanoulis and Giorgos Printezis return to the team, after their absence in the 2011 Eurobasket. On the other hand, Kostas Koufos and Sofoklis Schortsianitis were not called by Zouros, because of injury problems.
Here are the 14 players:
Antonis Fotsis, Giannis Bourousis (Armani Milano)
Nikos Zisis (Montepaschi Siena)
Vassilis Spanoulis, Giorgos Printezis, Kostas Papanikolaou, Kostas Sloukas, Vaggelis Mantzaris (Olympiacos)
Nik Calathes, Kostas Kaimakoglou, Ian Vougioukas (Panathinaikos)
Kostas Vasileiadis, Dimitris Mavroeidis (Bilbao Basket)
Maik Bramos (Gran Canaria)
